Ocean Gala
San Diego Coastkeeper and 400 supporters of a clean coast celebrated the 12th Annual Ocean Gala Benefit on Saturday, November 3rd in the Ballroom of the historic Hotel Del Coronado.
The night was a huge success with attendance from some of San Diego’s top environmental leaders such as Honorary Event Chair Murray Galinson, Chairman of San Diego National Bank, a number of Elected Officials such as Congresswoman Susan Davis, California Senator Christine Kehoe and California Assembly Member Lori Saldana among others, and an amazing group of supportive Sponsors.
Emcee Marti Emerald, Keynote Speaker Chris Mooney, author of Storm World, Councilmember Donna Frye, and Coastkeeper’s very own Bruce Reznik graced the stage.
The event honored two well-deserved Awardees, California Lieutenant Governor John Garamendi and Liquid Environmental Solutions as Coastal Champions.
Guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner, live music by Mango Bay, silent and live auctions, and the ever-popular Wheel of Fun. The funds raised at the event will support San Diego Coastkeeper’s mission to protect and preserve our coastal environment.
