Proceeds from April 4 event will benefit San Diego Coastkeeper
San Diego, April 1-Award-winning photographer and designer, Myles McGuinness, will showcase his limited edition wood prints as part of the Gallery Wall Series at Culture Brewing Company in Solana Beach on Friday, April 4. A portion of the show’s proceeds will benefit San Diego Coastkeeper, which protects and restores fishable, swimmable and drinkable waters in San Diego County.
The event, which runs from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m., will feature the unique pieces McGuinness has become famous for, including publication and international recognition by the American Advertising Federation, California Surf Museum and National Geographic as well as exhibitions in the U.S., Brazil, France and Italy.
Myles captures many of his surf images while swimming with his camera, and he prints them on wood. His fine art prints are one-of-kind because the unique wood grain and color varies from print to print. He carefully selects each piece to match the grain to the individual image. The wood is Forest Steward Council (FSC) certified and grown in sustainable forests.
McGuinness grew up across the U.S. and this traveling developed his itch for exploration. He holds degrees in photography and graphic design from Savannah College of Art and Design. He currently resides in Oceanside with his wife and two children.
