San Diego Coastkeeper’s education philosophy encompasses experiential learning, using inquiry-based, hands-on, and student-led activities to help spark lifelong curiosity, critical thinking, and investigative learning.

Our multi-pronged approach uses community engagement, advocacy, hands-on activities, and field study to engage students in experiential learning that will have lasting impacts and allow for individual learning styles. We focus on issues relevant to the local community, identifying age appropriate materials and concepts, incorporating cultural factors, and providing equitable services.
