REMOTE LEARNING
WELCOME TO PROJECT SWELL ONLINE
Welcome to Project SWELL’s new remote learning hub. All Project SWELL lessons and activities are now available as comprehensive, NGSS-aligned remote learning modules. Each grade level module includes all the resources students and teachers need to work through the Project SWELL curriculum and learn about San Diego’s waters, wildlife, and watersheds.
HOW TO USE THE REMOTE LEARNING MODULES
Each comprehensive grade-level module includes a lesson plan, video lesson, video activity, activity checklist, activity booklet, and a bonus virtual field trip to a local canyon or waterway. Once they receive access, teachers can facilitate Project SWELL activities as part of their classroom session, or assign the modules as independent-study. You can explore the topics by grade level below by scrolling past the registration form.
Check out this “how-to” video to take a tour of all the resources we offer:
SYNCHRONOUS AND ASYNCHRONOUS OPTIONS
The modules offered below include all the required resources for a comprehensive asynchronous learning experience. The synchronous version of the program replaces the video lesson and video activity with a webinar-style guided lesson and activity facilitated by a Coastkeeper education team member. Teachers who wish to have the Coastkeeper education team lead the Project SWELL module are welcome to reach out to [email protected] to schedule.
