WORKSHOPS, TOURS, GATHERINGS
We love getting community members, partners, stakeholders, Coastkeeper supporters, and topic experts into the same space to share ideas. That is why we regularly host workshops covering current topics in conservation, pollution prevention, and innovative water management, and organize tours of cutting edge local project sites leading the way in homegrown sustainability. For Coastkeeper members, we host quarterly membership gatherings at our office where folks are welcome to join us for a coffee and chat about local water issues with Coastkeeper’s staff.
WORKSHOPS
Periodically, Coastkeeper teams up with local partners to host workshops and community forums on a variety of topics in conservation, stormwater, rainwater capture, pollution prevention, native landscaping, and more. Audiences may include the general public, homeowners, commercial property managers, stormwater managers, educators, and more. Past workshops have included topics such as “Demystifying Stormwater Regulations: A Coffee Chat,” “Shifting Landscapes: Embracing San Diego’s New Landscape Culture,” “Capturing The Storm: Localizing Your Home Water Supply,” and “Is Mission Bay Gross?”

TOURS
We love getting out of the office and seeing all the creative, interesting, and inspiring work being done in our community to make San Diego a more resilient and sustainable region. Past tours have taken participants to residential rainwater capture project sites, greywater fed gardens, municipal low impact development projects, and more. For information on upcoming tours, please see our events calendar.
MEMBERSHIP GATHERINGS
Starting in fall 2019, once a quarter, we will put on a pot of coffee, open up our doors, and welcome our members in for some quality time with the Coastkeeper staff. Members are invited (and encouraged!) to join us to talk about local water issues, share stories about their favorite spots to surf and swim, and take an inside look at the workings of San Diego’s water watchdog. Coastkeeper members will receive email invitations to each quarterly membership event.
